Transparency International Cambodia has launched a digital library to help people research injustice, corruption, governance and social issues.

The online platform allows viewers to easily find documents, to “raise awareness, stimulate debate and find solutions” to some of Cambodia’s social and governance woes, Preap Kol, executive director of Transparency International Cambodia, told VOA Khmer.

Documents come from reliable sources and publishers, including the government, research and academic institutions, and other national and international organizations.

This online database can be viewed or downloaded and contains freely accessible e-books, reports, texts and other resources related to corruption and governance in Cambodia.

Chey Socheata, 18, a second-year student at the Royal University of Fine Arts, said she appreciates the convenience of the online library. “I can use those sources as reliable references for my research,” she said.

Chan Peter, 23, a senior student of international studies at Royal Phnom Penh University, said the library will benefit students and researchers “who upload their documents into the library.”

The digital library grows daily, as new resources are added, Preap Kol said.

“We also welcome individuals and institutions who wish to disseminate their resources pertaining to issues of corruption and governance in Cambodia through this online platform,” he said. However, he said, those documents have to be complete, accurate, and balanced.
