Opposition Turns To US President Obama for Fair Election

Cambodia’s main opposition party has urged US President Barack Obama to use his visit to Phnom Penh later this month to press for fair elections and better respect for human rights.
Sam Rainsy, president of the Cambodian National Rescue Party, told VOA Khmer's Men Kimseng in an interview Friday that local groups and the international community want people to elect leaders of their choice, free from repression, intimidation and electoral fraud, in what he called a global trend.
