Cambodian Americans Continue to Claim Kampuchea Krom and Koh Troal

Participants at the 21st Anniversary of Paris Peace Accord reacted strongly to a comment made by Prime Minister Hun Sen that Cambodia had lost the rights to claim back Kampuchea Krom (lower Cambodia) and Koh Troal island. In his five-hour speech to the National Assembly on August 9, the premier told the chamber that after Cambodia submitted a map, which did not include those pieces of land, to the United Nations in 1960s, it lost the legitimate rights to claim back the territory.
