PHNOM PENH —
Three men arrested over the weekend for the alleged murder of a journalist have been indicted by a provincial court.
La Narong, Kem Pheakdey and Pin Heng are accused of the murder of Taing Try, who was shot in the head sometime around 1 am on Sunday.
The three men are also accused of possession of illegal weapons.
Now the Kratie provincial court must decide whether to hold the men without bail.
Sok Sovan, president of the Khmer Journalists for Democracy Association, welcomed the charges and said the court should work to ensure justice for the slain journalist.
