The coalition government's leaders congratulate one another in a discussion via telephone after Sunday senate election.
Unofficial result shows that the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) is still leading by getting 7854 votes, about 45 seats , the FUNCINPEC party, 2320 votes, about 10 seats, opposition Sam Rainsy party 1165 votes, about 2 seats, and the Khmer Democratic Party about 13 votes.
The Sunday senate election is a second term election.
The local people are not allowed to vote in this election. The National Election Committee sets the rule for the election of commune council members and all three parties' members of parliament.
