WASHINGTON DC —
First Lady Michelle Obama will visit Cambodia as part of a tour later this month to promote a Peace Corps initiative for the education of girls.
“In Cambodia, Mrs. Obama and Peace Corps Director Hessler-Radelet will see up close how community-driven solutions are changing girls’ lives, a key component of the Let Girls Learn Peace Corps program,” the White House said in a statement.
Cambodia is the first of 11 countries to be included in the initiative.
Obama will arrive in Siem Reap after visiting Tokyo and Kyoto from March 18 to March 20.
